Miles Hester promoted to Vice-President of Safety and Risk Management
Effective January 1, 2011, Miles Hester has been promoted from Corporate Safety Director to Vice-President of Safety and Risk Management. Miles will continue to serve in the role of Director of Safety and will assume additional Risk Management duties as the year progresses.
Since 2002, Miles has worked his way through a variety of safety roles including his current role, OQ Manager and Field Safety Operations. During this time, the company has proudly maintained an EMR of .75. Due to his work ethic, company loyalty, professionalism, and vast knowledge of safety and risk management functions within Progressive Pipeline, we are proud to promote him to the Vice-President level.

Progressive Pipeline welcomes Bill White to the Houston Division
Progressive Pipeline is pleased to announce that Bill White has joined the Progressive Team as Construction Manager for its Houston Division. With 26 years of experience in Supervisory, Management and Administration roles on facility and pipeline projects, Bill will be a tremendous asset.
Working his way up, Bill has held positions as General Superintendent, Project Manager and Construction Superintendent. This has lead to significant experience in the areas of estimating, project management and construction execution of all sizes of cross country pipeline. Some of his experience includes:
- Pipeline Compressor stations
- Pump stations and processing plants
- Major pipeline rehab/hydro testing projects
- Major construction alliance programs with prominent pipeline owners
- Instrumental in staffing and managing non-union pipeline and facilities construction projects in the US
- Organization of three plus pipeline spreads and four plus facility construction teams
In addition to his experience, his has continued training by completing the Zero Incident (ZIP) Safety Course and is Excavation Safety Certified. Michael Castle, Vice-President of Operations had this to say, “The addition of Bill to Progressive’s team shows the dedication and commitment to our clients to help see that their projects are completed on schedule and within budget. We are committed to providing our clients with second to none Customer Service and dependability.”
Progressive Pipeline adds Station Construction Division
In the spring of 2010, members of the Progressive Pipeline Development team met to discuss goals for the future, the result of that meeting: A new Station Division.
Harry Sonnier was the first to join the team as Station Construction Manger, with 35 years of Station focused experience. Harry knew the success of the team would be in hiring quality, experienced, safety focused Superintendents. Next to be added were Superintendents, Skip Walker and Jeff Archer and Project Manager, Clint Sonnier. The final addition was Bill White as Construction Manager for the Houston Division, where he will be managing Station work from that area. Bill comes with extensive experience in both Pipeline and Station construction. With a combined experience of over 130 years, the management team was complete.
Due to the vast amount of experience offered by the team, the following services are now offered:
- Compressor and Pump Stations
- Meter and Regulator Sites
- Gas Treatment Facilities
- Capability of building small meter stations to large natural gas storage facilities with all sizes in-between.
- Large Turbines and Recip’s
- Tank Farm work and associated piping
Safety has been slated as the key to setting this team apart from others. The crews in this division have worked consistently for ten years which has had a major impact on safety. The philosophy: crews who are accustomed to working together have fewer accidents. Skip Walker and his crew are leaders in the industry by being safety focused. He was recently quoted as saying, “we are proud to make safety the center of every project. Our record speaks for itself.”
Jeff Archer sums it up this way, “we are looking forward to building this division and providing our clients with a quality product at a fair price.”
